Gloria "Poya" Cano, 51, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Family and friend visitation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 1:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Gloria was born on April 21, 1973, in Hereford, Texas, to Eloy, Jr. and Eudelia (Vargas) Cano. Gloria has been a resident of Herford most of her life. She loved dancing, playing Bingo, cruising around town with her family, karaoke, being goofy, being a girly girl, lipstick, nail polish, purses and loving the 80's; she enjoyed her coffee and breakfast every morning, lake time with her family and bar-b que's. Gloria loved many things in life, but her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and her sisters and brother. She had a beautiful heart, she cared almost too much. "Poya's" presence, beautiful soul, and laughter will be missed by all those who loved her dearly.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Roy Barboza and his wife Brianna of Hereford, Jesse Barboza of Lubbock, Fabian Barboza of Hereford, Elena Barboza of Lubbock and Anthony Barboza of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; her siblings, Delma Davila and her husband Juan of Amarillo, Mindy Cano, Maryann Martinez, Gracie Cano and her husband Rodolfo Dominguez, Jessica Cano and Vanessa Nava and her husband Juan all of Hereford, Texas.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Ricky Barboza III, her brother, Danny Cano, her nephew, Kevin Cano and her brother-in-law, Victor Martinez, Jr.
