Gloria "MoMo" Barrera, 74, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Hereford. Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

Gloria was born on April 20, 1946 to Santiago and Guadalupe (Aranda) Villarreal in Edinburg, Texas. Gloria was a lifelong resident of Hereford. She married Alberto Barrera, Jr. in March of 1967. She was a homemaker and took pride in raising her children and taking care of her husband. Gloria was a strong, beautiful, women; she was always smiling and was loved by everyone.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, coloring, listening to Spanish music, and watching the lifetime channel, Christmas movies were her favorite. Gloria treasured talking on the phone with her children and family; she enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and family. Gloria will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Irene Casarez and husband Joe of Amarillo, TX, Ernest Barrera and his wife Carol of Hereford, TX, Norma Barrera of Hereford, TX, and Ofelia Barrera and her boyfriend Jerry Rios of Dallas, TX; twenty grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; brother Feto Villarreal and his wife Fela of Edinburg, TX; sister Emma Barrera of Edinburg, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Alberto Barrera, Jr., a brother Samuel Villarreal, and a sister Elisa Villareal.
