Glena "Gunga" Collier passed away at the age of 63 in Amarillo, Texas, on Sunday, December 1, 2024. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at the Nazarene Family Church of Hereford with Pastor Ted Taylor officiating on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. A family and friend visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Collier family has entrusted Funeral Services to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Glena was born to her parents in Hereford, Texas on January 24, 1961. She was a life-long resident of Hereford where she attended Hereford High and graduated Class of 1978. Glena met the love of her life James Collier while in school, the two high school sweethearts got married on September 26, 1978, in Hereford, Texas. Together they started a beautiful family raising them in Hereford and instilling many life lessons that will be cherished for eternity.

Glena had a servant's heart and worked in nursing for most of her life as a caregiver serving wholeheartedly. She loved to spend time with her family and have family gatherings, she would travel miles to see her grandchildren that she loved dearly; Glena enjoyed watching Joe Kenda in her spare time and shopping with her sisters. She was always very comforting and strong for her family even in difficult times, she was small but sure was mighty.

Those left to carry on her loving spirit is her mother, Exa Irene Weber of Hereford, Texas; her loving children, Ashley Bird and her husband Adam Gilkeson of Pueblo, Colorado, April Marez and her husband Zachery Marez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jesse-James Collier and Star Collier of Yankton, South Dakota; her grandchildren that she cherished, Jarick Bird, Jaiven Bird, Jaxon Bird, David Gilkeson, Adelynn Marez, Aaron Marez, Alyssa Marez, Jayden Collier, Alexander Collier; her loving companion Randall Herr of Hereford, Texas; her siblings, Alfred West, Brenda and Jimmy Mize, Danny West, Craig Weber, Debby Weber, Carol and Randy Moore, Misty Weber, Amber and Abel Maciel; numerous nieces and nephews.

Those preceding her in passing are her husband of 33 years of marriage James Collier; her father, her stepfather, Clyde Weber, her brother, Derek Weber; two stepbrothers, Clyde Jr., and Harlan Weber; her loving brothers-in-law, Russell and Ronnie Collier, her nephew, Bryan Steward.
