Gina Cadena, 48, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Hereford, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, in Dickens, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 2:00-8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Gina was born April 4, 1974, in Hereford, Texas, to George Cadena, Sr., and Josephine Mungia. Gina attended Hereford schools and lived in Hereford till 1987, moving to Amarillo. Gina was a hairdresser for more than 15 years, she also worked in home health care as a CNA for a few years. She worked at Macy's and Dillard's in Dallas in the cosmetic department, she loved Chanel and Gucci and was all about fashion, shopping and getting her nails done. Gina loved animals; especially ducks and rabbits; she loved being around her nieces and her family. She loved her mother and was always providing for her family. She will be dearly missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her parents George Cadena, Sr. of Hereford, Texas and her mother Josie Mungia of Amarillo, Texas; her siblings Richard Reyna of Midland, Texas, Brinda Reyna and her husband Angel Valle of Hereford, Texas, Lupe Reyna, Wanda Casarez and Adolfo Cadena and his wife Norma all of Amarillo, Texas, Marisela Nañez and her husband Porfirio, Crystal Cadena and her wife Nancy and Jessie Cadena all of Hereford, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
