Gilbert "Tiny" Carrasco, 63, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas surrounded by his family. Arrangements and Cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Gilbert was born on September 22, 1958, in San Angelo, Texas, to Gilbert Carrasco, Sr., and Betty (Garcia) Carrasco. He was a longtime resident of Hereford and married Leticia (Elizondo) Carrasco in April of 1975 in Hereford. He worked for Hereford Armour and Swift Plants, and BJM Trucking. Gilbert enjoyed Tejano Music, dancing, traveling, going to the casinos, cooking, and camping with his family. He was a jokester and loved to be around his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Leticia Carrasco of Hereford, Texas; children, Gilbert Joseph Carrasco of Hereford, Michelle Balderaz and her husband Michael of Grand Prairie, Texas, Melissa Carrasco of Borger, Texas, Amanda Balderaz and her husband Henry of Hereford, Texas, and Vanessa Carrasco of Hereford, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Carrasco and his wife Diana of Dumas, Texas and Michael Carrasco and his wife Alma of Hereford, Texas; sister, Sandra Biera and her husband Tony of Wilmer, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Noah Carrasco, and a great-grandson Gerardo Carrizales, Jr.
