Gary Riddle, 69, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Hereford, Texas. Celebration of Life Services will be Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Noe Diaz officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Monday, March 15, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. A mask is encouraged to be worn to attend the viewing and the service. Your safety and health matter to us.

Gary was born April 30, 1951 in Hereford, Texas to Wilson Ogle and Bobbye Lee (Witherspoon) Riddle. Gary was born and raised in Hereford and has lived all his life in Hereford, Texas. He married the love of his life, Diane Lange in 1971. Gary was employed with Southwestern Bell and AT&T Telephone Companies as a prenise technician all his employment life. He was a volunteer firefighter for 28 ½ years for the Hereford Fire Department and during that time he served as the Captain for a short while. Gary's love was fishing and anything aquatic. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, bicycles, tinkering with cars and having a fish fry. In his younger day he cycled in many races. Gary had a fish aquarium and always had fish in it, he also bred fishes. He mastered the difficult task of having a saltwater aquarium for many exotic fish. There was not much that Gary could not do or figure out, if he did not know it, he would find the answer and the right one at that. His son Eddie stated that he wished he had one of the greatest qualities his dad had and that was he never spoke an ugly word about anybody.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Diane Riddle of Hereford, TX., his children, Eddie Riddle and his wife Mandy of Hereford, TX., Kimberly Jobe and her husband Derik of Amarillo, TX., and Josh Riddle of Lubbock, TX., 5 grandchildren, Jasmine Ramirez, Marcus Morales, Megan Polan, Hayden Hall, and Haizley Riddle; an Aunt Tina Reinauer and her husband Bill of Amarillo, TX.

Gary is joining his parents in heaven.
