Freda Mae McMurry, 99 of Hereford, Texas, went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service honoring Freda will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the First Methodist Church of Hereford with Pastor Sam White officiating, burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A family and friend visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Freda was born to her parents Herbert Briscoe and Edith (Herndon) Briscoe on September 27, 1925, in Latham, Kansas. She was a long-time Hereford resident, the eldest member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was an amazing seamstress, and her appearance was very important, she dressed and did her hair wherever she went; she enjoyed reading, word puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She loved to send a card to everyone for every occasion. Freda celebrated her 99th birthday this pasted September, and her heart was full as she celebrated with her five generation together; Freda spent every Saturday night with Lawrence Welk, she enjoyed her lunches with her friends from her cottages and was a proud member of Fellowship of Believers.

Those left to carry on her legacy are her children, Toni Beauchamp Jones and her husband Bobby, Mike Beauchamp all of Hereford, Texas; her grandchildren, Clay Jones of Hereford, Texas, Mandi Berryman and her husband Randy of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Ashley Sloan and her husband Anthony of Crystal Lake, Illinois; her great-grandchildren, Randa King, Melani Mitchell and husband Travis, Zachary Minson, Emry Sloan, Everett Sloan, Mila Sloan; great-great grandchildren, Lane Britton and Rylee King; her step-children, Dave McMurry and wife Claudia, Carol White all of Amarillo, Texas; 4 step grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; her sister Alice Boyd of Amarillo, Texas, her sister's-in-law, Wanda Briscoe and Vera Briscoe  Amarillo, Texas; Earlene Copas of Tipton, Indiana.
