Frances Maes, 75, of Hereford passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford with celebrant Rev. Ramon Molina Mora, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Rosary to be recited Sunday evening at 6:00 PM and Monday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Frances was born August 12, 1942 in Amarillo, Texas to Rafael and Lenor (Rubio) Soliz. Frances has been a resident of Hereford since 1955. She was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church and a member of the Crusiesta's at La Iglesia de San Jose. Frances loved traveling, music, dancing and watching novelas, but her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Frances never missed a game that her children or grandchildren participated in. She loved and lived her life for her children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Frank Maes, Jr. and his companion Lisa Burgess, Lisa Maes and Paul Maes and his wife Maria all of Amarillo; Mark Maes and his wife Diane and Ralph Maes and his wife Melanie all of Hereford, a sister, Rose Yeary of San Antonio and two brothers, Ralph Soliz of Morton, Texas and Joe Soliz, Sr. and his wife Marcella of Hereford, fifteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
