Mary Frances Kerr, 88, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in Hereford, surrounded by her loving children. Graveside Service will be on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas with Chaplain Stuart Smith officiating. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Frances was born on August 24, 1936, in Bogota, Texas to Walter Van-Dyke and Willie Estelle (Sisson) Sullivan. She married the love of her life and friend Winford "Jay" Kerr on November 30, 1956; they met when they were just 10 years old.  Frances and Jay moved to Hereford in the mid-1950s. Frances worked for the Hereford Independent School District for 35 years. She was active in the horse-riding club, which involved many horse activities. She loved to volunteer and was awarded Volunteer of the Year for the year 2009-2010. Frances faithfully volunteered with the Hereford Auxiliary Pink Ladies in the gift shop for the last 10 years plus. Frances was a loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother, the very best there was!

Those left to cherish her memories are son Michael Kerr and wife Cindy of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter Pam Bone of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin Whitaker and wife Mandi of Amarillo, Texas, Ashley Kerr and Darius Crawford of Cortez, Colorado, Haley Marshall of Amarillo, Texas, Taylor McLaughlin and husband Swayze of Amarillo, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Orin, Ellis, and Everyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Winford Jay Kerr, three brothers, and three sisters.
