Florina Ochoa San Miguel, age 83, of Hereford, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Hereford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in honor of Florina on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at La Mission de San Jose Catholic Church. Monsignor Arturo Meza will serve as the Celebrant. Following the service, burial will take place at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services are entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Florina was born on May 1, 1942, in Hampton, Iowa, to Jose A. and Paula (Villarreal) Ochoa. She made Hereford her home in 1971 and remained a dedicated resident of the community for many years.

Florina took great pride in caring for her late husband and raising her children. She found joy in gardening, especially tending to her roses. Her grandchildren were recipients of her homemade tortillas, and she enjoyed pranking and joking with them. Florina also loved playing the piggy machine at the casino.

Her greatest love in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her little white miniature terrier, Fifi. Florina was a devoted member of San Jose Catholic Church.

Florina will be remembered for her presence, her love of coffee and banana nut bread, and her beautiful smile. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Victoria Roberson and her husband Marlon of Grand Prairie, Texas; Jesus San Miguel and his wife Rita of Hereford, Texas; Beatriz San Miguel of Yukon, Oklahoma; Rebecca Carrasco and her husband Fernando of Hereford, Texas; Aurelio San Miguel and his wife Olivia B. of Hereford, Texas; Adolfo San Miguel of Canyon, Texas; and her precious best friend, Fifi, her white miniature terrier. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Aurelio Ochoa of Nebraska, Rita Ochoa of Uvalde, Texas, Josefina Castro of Crystal City, Texas, Yolanda Garza of Eden, Texas, and Gloria Pesina of Brownwood, Texas.

Florina is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aureliano San Miguel, her son, Mario San Miguel, and her siblings, Jose Ochoa, Estella Irish, Margarita Escamilla, Francisco Ochoa, and Paula Ochoa.
