Florencio C. Zamora, 78, of Hereford, Tx, passed away on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10:00AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial at West Park Cemetery, in Hereford, Tx.  Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:00-8:00 PM with rosary held at 6:00PM at the Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home.

Flo was born February 28, 1946, in Nordheim, Tx, to Julian Rosales Zamora and Maria Aurelia Chavarria.  Florencio married Marta Cantu on February 2nd, 1965 in Hereford, TX. They have four beautiful children together, Martha Soliz, Florencio Zamora Jr., Jaime Zamora, and Brian Zamora.

Florencio worked as a mechanic for JCP and later worked for Farr Better Feeds for 27 years traveling throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma meeting area farmers and ranchers. One of his fondest memories was delivering feed to the Lonesome Dove Ranch. He was well known and loved in Hereford and the surrounding areas. Florencio retired in 2001 and loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to their activities in town. His favorite pastimes were working on his vehicles and sharing his love of mechanics by showing others how to do mechanic work.  His love of travel included taking vacations with his family and traveling to his grandchildren's ball games near and far, attending graduations, family meals, and listening to his grandson's sports on the radio.  He enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee at Daylight Donuts and McDonald's and cooking dinner for his family.

Florencio was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, TX. He was a man of faith and trusted God's plan for him and his family. What made Florencio special was the strength and love he had for his family. He provided for them for his entire life and prayed for their safety and wellbeing throughout his final days. Florencio was a man who never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with others.  He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch feeding the birds and listening to them sing.

Remaining to cherish Florencio's memory are wife, Marta Zamora; children, Martha Soliz (Victor Soliz), Florencio Zamora Jr. (Michelle Zamora), Jaime Zamora (Lisa Zamora), and Brian Zamora (Dianne Zamora); grandchildren, Sergio Soliz (Gabriella Soliz-Aviles), Matthew Zamora, Saidi Soliz, Jacob Zamora, Alex Zamora, Layla Zamora (Edwin Pompa), Noah Zamora, Sophia Zamora, Lucina Zamora, and Lilyana Zamora; great-grandchildren, Carsyn Soliz-Aviles, Sampson Soliz-Aviles and Arrietty Pompa.  He is survived by brothers, Julian Chavarria Zamora, Jr.; sisters, Celestina Lucio, Elvia Avila, Maria Irene Zamora; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Florencio in death are parents, Julian Rosales Zamora and Maria Aurelia Chavarria; brothers, Jose Ramiro Zamora, Rosendo Zamora, and Johnny Zamora; sisters, SanJuana Gutierrez and Rosita Zamora.
