Flaco Panchito age 62 years old of Hereford passed unexpectedly on September 2, 2024, in Lamar, Colorado. A Family and Friend visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 1:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 2:30 P.M., led by Rocio Avalos. The family has entrusted Funeral Arrangements to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Flaco was a long-time Hereford resident, he met the love of his life Maria Cortez at a dance in Amarillo. Flaco had a tremendously hard work ethic and was a Truck Driver for most of his life. He loved to spend time with his children and especially his grandchildren. He always had a joke up his sleeve to share even if he was the only one who laughed. He enjoyed watching boxing, football and baseball.

Flaco never met a stranger and was loved by his community. He would always put family first and would do anything for his family.

Those left to carry on his legacy are his wife, Maria Rodriguez of Hereford, Texas; his children, Laura Arguijo, Judith Ponce, Erik Cortez all of Hereford, Texas; his grandchildren, Lex Arguijo, Max, Crystal Arguijo, Anissa Andrade, Erikka hammer, Raymundo Ponce; his great-grandchildren, Malakhai Chapparro, Josiah Arguijo, Annalee Trevino, Noah Andrade.

Those preceding him in passing are his father-in-law and mother-in law Abraham and Romualda Cortez; his sister-in-law, Hilda Cortez; his daughter, Martina "Tomasita" Cortez.
