Fidelia "Dee" Salinas, 46, of Hereford, Texas, went to her eternal home on Friday, April 8, 2022. Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Hereford Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Manny DeLosSantos officiating. Burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 4:00-8:00PM and prayer service at 6:00PM at the funeral home.

Dee was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was also a beloved aunt, daughter, sister, friend, and mentor. Dee's foundation was her faith. She never wavered in her commitment to God. She was full of style, well spoken, and intelligent. Dee had an inner strength that was unmatched. She was fully committed to her family and cared for everyone she came in contact with. After her faith, her greatest joy was being a mother and wife.

In her free time, you often found Dee running in her neighborhood or at the track. She loved to read, was a teacher at heart, and a mentor to many. Dee loved learning and was a lifelong student. Even while battling cancer, she pursued a doctorate in Strategic Leadership.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Salinas. Children, Justicia, Faith, and Jahaziel Salinas. Her mother, Matilde Hernandez and father, Lazaro Hernandez. Siblings, Aracelia Bustamante, Elia Moreno, Lazaro Hernandez, Jr., and Luis Hernandez. Her best friend Brandie Webb, nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, Dee wanted for new tennis shoes donations to be brought to her celebration of life services for The Sole Food Project. (Kids sizes 2-10)

Dee also asked that no one wear black and please wear tennis shoes. (or bring a pair so we can do a lap after the burial)
