Fernando Moreno, 60, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina Mora officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Fernando was born on May 30, 1962, in Minas de Barroteran, Coahuila, Mexico, to Pedro and Oralia (Sanchez) Moreno. Fernando has been a resident of Hereford, Texas, since 2011, moving from Chicago. He met the love of his life, Celia Torres, twenty-six years ago and they married on December 17, 2013. Fernando loved having cookouts with his family and friends, listening to music and being the family jokester. Fernando was always known for his hard-working ethic and loved being the handyman to anyone he could help. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Celia Moreno of Hereford, Texas, his children Linda Moreno and her husband Emilio DeLaCruz of Amarillo, Texas, Pilar Camargo and Juan Carlos Salinas of Hereford, Texas, Miguel Angel Camargo and his wife Anna Maria and Anthony Luis Camargo all of Chicago and Jose Juan Camargo of Mexico; his siblings Maria Gonzales and her husband Jose, Yvette Alvarado and her husband Nestor, Lupe Ramirez, Juan Antonio Moreno and his wife Lydia, and Nicholas Moreno and his wife Leticia all of Chicago; and several grandchildren.

Fernando is preceded in death by his parents.

La misa de entierro cristiano será el miércoles 28 de diciembre de 2022 a las 2:00 PM en la Iglesia Católica de San José con el celebrante Ramón Molina Mora oficiando. Entierro a seguir en el cementerio de West Park. Los arreglos y servicios han sido confiados a Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home de Hereford, Texas. Fernando nació el 30 de mayo de 1962 en Minas de Barroteran, Coahuila, Mexico, hijo de Pedro y Oralia (Sánchez) Moreno. Fernando ha sido residente de Hereford, Texas, desde 2011, mudándose de Chicago. Conoció al amor de su vida, Celia Torres, hace veintiséis años y se casaron el 17 de diciembre de 2013. A Fernando le encantaba comer al aire libre con su familia y amigos, escuchar música y ser el bromista de la familia. Fernando siempre fue conocido por su ética trabajadora y le encantaba ser el personal de mantenimiento para cualquiera que pudiera ayudar. Será extrañado por su familia y muchos amigos.

Los que quedan para apreciar sus recuerdos son su esposa, Celia Moreno de Hereford, Texas, sus hijos Linda Moreno y su esposo Emilio DeLaCruz de Amarillo, Texas, Pilar Camargo y Juan Carlos Salinas de Hereford, Texas, Miguel Angel Camargo y su esposa Anna María y Anthony Luis Camargo todos de Chicago y José Juan Camargo de México; sus hermanos María Gonzales y su esposo José, Yvette Alvarado y su esposo Néstor,  Lupe Ramírez, Juan Antonio Moreno y su esposa Lydia, y Nicolás Moreno y su esposa Leticia todos de Chicago; y varios nietos.

Fernando es precedido en la muerte por sus padres.
