Felipe E. Muñoz, 96, of Hereford, Texas passed away on March 19, 2020, in Amarillo, Texas. Celebration of Life Services will be held Monday, March 23, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow in the West Park Cemetery.  Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be held Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Felipe was born June 6, 1923 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Porfirio and Maria (Escalante) Muñoz. Felipe married Juaquina Luisa Sanchez in 1962 in Clovis, New Mexico. He has been a resident of Hereford, Texas since 1977. Felipe loved to farm, reading his bible, he was also a minster at The God of the First Born Church, he was a very friendly and caring man and would give you the shirt off of his back. He enjoyed hanging out at the Hereford Senior Citizens for lunch and always had a great sense of humor.

Those left to cherish Felipe's memories are his wife Juaquina Luisa Muñoz of Hereford, his three sons; Luis Muñoz and wife Sophia of Amarillo, Carlos Muñoz and wife Polly, and Felipe Muñoz all of Hereford. Thirteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Felipe is preceded in death by four sisters, Sara Muñoz, Jovita Muñoz, Chole Muñoz and Anastasia Escalante; Nine brothers Manuel and Pablo Muñoz, Julian Muñoz, Alfonso Muñoz, Ramon Muñoz, Antonino Muñoz, Aureliano Muñoz and Juan Muñoz.
