Eudelia Cano, 77, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, in Hereford, surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Ramon Molina officiating. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Burial of Cremains to take place at a later date. Viewing will be on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., with a rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M.

Eudelia Cano was born on September 9, 1945, in Asherton, Texas to Manuel and Tiodora (Cardona) Vargas. She was a resident of Hereford for 60 years and Married Eloy Cano, Jr. on January 6, 1964, in Hereford. Eudelia was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. She loved family gatherings and parties and loved listening to music, especially Elvis and George Strait. She enjoyed playing BINGO, cooking, cruising, shopping, dancing, and visiting her family in Asherton. She was a Patrick Mahomes fan from the Kansas City Chiefs but not a Dallas Cowboys fan, even though her family was. She loved her family dearly and she raised three grandchildren which they were the joy of her life.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Delma Davila and her husband Juan of Amarillo, Texas, Mindy Cano of Hereford, Texas, Danny Cano and his wife Margie of Amarillo, Texas, Mary Ann Martinez of Hereford, Texas, Gloria Cano of Lubbock, Texas, Grace Cano and her husband Rodolfo Dominguez of Hereford, Texas, Jessica Cano of Hereford, Texas, and Vanessa Nava and her husband Juan of Hereford, Texas; thirty grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Estella Hernandez and Alicia Vargas both of Asherton, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Tiodora Vargas, husband, Eloy Cano, Jr., grandson Ricky Barboza III, brothers Manuel Vargas, Jr. and Guadalupe Vargas, sisters Enriqueta Vargas and Elena Sifuentes, and a son-in-law Victor Martinez, Jr.
