Esther San Miguel Trevino, of Hereford, Texas passed away on January 25, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hereford Senior Citizens Center with Jaime Berryhill as officiant. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.

Esther was born in La Blanca, Texas to Domingo and Lucia (Romo) San Miguel. She graduated from Dimmitt High School and has been a resident of Hereford since 1972. Esther was a member of the Charro en la celebración de independencia and performed at many of the Hereford Jubilees. She was a homemaker when her children were small and took great pride in raising and taking care of them; she always told them she would lay down her life for them and they knew she meant it. Esther also worked in healthcare, the last several years she worked as a hospice nurse for Visiting Angels.  She enjoyed talking on the phone, relaxing with family while watching movies, singing, and dancing. Esther loved animals and they loved her. She was funny, strong, confident, and proud of her family and the things she had accomplished. Esther was truly one of a kind and walked with integrity even when no one was watching. She was a believer in our Lord and Savior and was very generous, giving to others whether she had the means or not.

The legacy she leaves behind are her children, Jaime Lee Trevino of Oregon, Leon Trevino and wife Christina of Hereford, Texas, and Maribel Trevino and boyfriend Kwame Foster of Hereford, Texas; six grandchildren, Christyn Faith Trevino, Ezra Lee Trevino, Bella Lasha Trevino, Jayme Lee Trevino, Genesis Ramos, and Zoe Layne Trevino; three brothers, Ruben San Miguel and wife Cecilia of Canyon, Texas, Joe David San Miguel and wife Esmeralda of Hereford, Texas, and Frank San Miguel and wife Sharon of Amarillo, Texas; a sister Alicia  San Miguel of Amarillo, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Esther is preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Lucia San Miguel, son Isaac Isaiah Trevino, and two sisters Olga Alicia San Miguel and Linda San Miguel.
