Esteban Ramirez, 90, of Hereford, Texas passed away Friday, December 13, 2019. Memorial Mass will be held on March 7, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church. Cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Esteban was born October 29, 1929 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Esteban and Jesusita (Segura) Ramirez. Esteban has been a resident of Hereford for 59 years. He married the love of his life Maria Rita Flores on March 5, 1951 in a small church in Seguin, Texas. Esteban worked for Holy Sugar, Caviness Packing, and numerous farms in the area. He owned Ramirez and Sons Welding. He always kept everyone laughing and smiling if you ever had a bad day you could pick up the phone and call him to turn your day around. He was also a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Esteban had a passion for boxing and was a coach for the Golden Glove Boxers of Hereford Boxing Club. He was the best father and grandfather to all of his children, he made sure that all the girls knew how to change a tire, the spark plugs and the oil in their car, he would do anything for any of them, and he dearly loved his son-in-law. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Those left to cherish his memories are five sons, Jorge Ramirez of Amarillo, Texas, Tony Ramirez and wife Alice of San Angelo, Texas, Pedro Ramirez and wife Melinda of Graham, Texas, Gustavo Ramirez of Austin, Texas and Romeo Ramirez and wife Amy of Hereford, Texas. Three daughters, Mary Ramirez and Amelia Ramirez both of Amarillo, Gracie Brown and husband Martin of Summerfield, Texas; two brothers and one sister. Twenty-four grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. His beloved neighbors Jesus and Rosy Gutierrez and their children, and Guero and Emma Sanchez.

Esteban is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Maria Ramirez; two sons Sergio Ramirez and Javier Estevan Ramirez; one daughter Andrea Ramirez; five brothers and seven sisters.
