Esperanza Aguero Buentello, 73, lifelong resident of Hereford, TX, passed away on October 27, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2020 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Alvarado officiating and with burial to follow at West Park Cemetery.  Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

A public visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the funeral home.

Esperanza was born on March 11, 1947 in Hereford, Texas to Gilberto and Herminia (De La Paz) Aguero. She married Aviel Buentello on November 20, 1966. She worked as a CNA for eight years and volunteered for Samaritan Hospice. Esperanza had a green thumb for gardening. She loved to read her bible, listen to Christian music, and watch the Christian channel. She enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for all her family.  She was a member of the Good News Church and she loved to praise and worship and dance unto the Lord. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting, shopping, and doing puzzles. Esperanza was a loving and caring person to anyone in need.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Gilberto and Herminia Aguero, her great grandson; Zachary Elijah Juarez.

She is survived by her husband; Aviel Buentello of Hereford, three sons; Johnny James Buentello and wife Antonia, Javier Buentello and Joshua Buentello, one daughter; Annette Juarez and husband Onesimo all of Hereford, three sisters; Esmeralda Condarco, Rosemary Ramirez and husband John of Hobbs, New Mexico, Jose Manuel Aguero of Lubbock and Flor Estella Espinosa of Hereford, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
