Erlinda Rachel Soto passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, in McLean, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.

Erlinda Rachel Soto was born on October 11, 1948, in Mason Tx to Maria Luisa Castillo and Augustine Castillo Sr. She was the one out of 10 kids.

Our Lela enjoyed watching the golden girls, sewing, going to the casinos, watching Perry Mason, and spending time with her family. Her  favorite color was red, there was never a moment you couldn't talk to her for some advice.

She spent her life as a homemaker, raising her grandchildren before she started working at Hereford High School Cafeteria until she retired in 2012.

She married Isaiah Soto Sr. on May 27, 1967 and have been married for 58 eventful years.
Linda raised her 4 children along with many of her grandchildren along with any other kids who entered her house ranging from neighborhood kids to nieces and nephews.

Linda was the definition of a mother and grandmother our Lela fed everyone and showered them with her love while they sat around her table.

Her laugh and smile warmed you like the sunny days she would sit on the porch and watch the happenings in the neighborhood. Words will never do justice when it comes to describing what a wonderful woman Linda truly was.

She embodied strength and courage as she fought a winless battle.
She will be joining her mother ( Maria Luisa Castillo) and father (Augustine Castillo Sr), two brothers (Eddie Castillo and Rudy Castillo) one sister (Irene Gonzalez), one grandson (Dalton Soto) and her beloved son (Mark Soto Sr) in Heaven.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Isaias Soto Sr of McLean Tx, Their 3 Living children Isaiah Soto Jr and wife Belia of McLean TX, Rebecca Michelle Soto- Ramos and husband Tomas of Canyon TX and Jeremiah Soto and wife Tanya of Shamrock TX.
17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Erlinda Rachel Soto was the light of our lives and who held us all together we will miss her deeply every day.
