Erasmo Martinez, 79, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Hereford. Cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Memorial services will be scheduled for a later date.

Erasmo was born on December 25, 1939 in San Benito, Texas to Jacinto and Mariana (Reza) Martinez. He has been a Hereford resident since 1956 and has worked as a farmer most of his life. He has been a member of the San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and he loved to tell jokes. He was very humorous and had a very unique laugh. His favorite thing was to gather with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ramon Ramirez and Natalia Morales, five brothers Paz Jose Martinez, Cornelio Martinez, Heriberto Martinez, Juan Martinez and Estevan Martinez.
