Enriqueta "Queta" Del Toro, 87, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, in Hereford. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Arthur Chavez and Pastor Pablo Lopez officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Prayer Service beginning at 3:00 P.M.

Enriqueta was born on February 27, 1934, in Crystal City, Texas to Jesus and Francisca (Rodriguez) Alvarado. She married Andres Del Toro Sr. on February 3, 1952. Enriqueta lived in La Pryor, Texas and Pearsall, Texas before moving to Hereford. She has been a resident of Hereford for 56 years. In Pearsall, she worked as a secretary at the church, Templo La Hermosa, she was a member and the president of the women's ministry group. Enriqueta also worked as a migrant field worker and was a proud homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. She was a member of the Templo La Hermosa church in Hereford. Enriqueta enjoyed making tamales, embroidering, going to garage sales, eating a hamburger and fries from McDonalds, and drinking her minnie sized diet cokes. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Most of all Enriqueta enjoyed times spent with her family, especially on Sundays. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Sylvia Hernandez and husband Juan of Hereford, Texas, Janie Chavez and her husband Arthur of Mountainair, New Mexico, Lucy Garcia and her husband Robert of Liberty, Texas, Juan Del Toro and his wife Lydia of Hereford, Texas, Mary Ann Cantu and her husband Manuel of Marshall, Texas, Maria Guadalupe Del Toro of Hereford, Texas, Martha Pargas and her husband Tony of Rowlett, Texas, Daniel Del Toro and his wife Martha of Amarillo, Texas, Esther Rodriguez and her husband Conrado of Rockwall, Texas, and Ruth Nadeau and her husband Mark of Mesquite, Texas; adopted child Alberto Calderon and his wife Paquita of Hereford, Texas; daughter-in-law Juanita Del Toro of Hereford, Texas; thirty-one grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister Angelina Alvarado of Abilene, Texas,  and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Andres Del Toro, Sr., son Andres Del Toro Jr., three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four brothers, and one sister.
