Enrique "Kike" Castillo, Sr., de 53 años, de Dimmitt, Texas, falleció el martes 11 de noviembre de 2025 en Dimmitt. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el lunes 17 de noviembre de 2025 a las 11:00 a.m. en la capilla de la funeraria de la familia Méndez y Mullins con Albert Cantú oficiando, el entierro seguirá después del servicio de la capilla. Los arreglos y servicios han sido confiados a la funeraria de la familia Méndez y Mullins de Hereford, Texas. La visita de familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo el domingo 16 de noviembre de 2025, de 4:00 a 8:00 p. m. en la funeraria.

Enrique nació el 19 de octubre de 1972, hijo de José y Cruz (Portillo) Castillo en Valla de Zaragoza, Chihuahua, México. Ha sido residente de Dimmitt durante 33 años. Se casó con Francisca Alvarado el 14 de noviembre de 1994 en Hereford, Texas. Enrique trabajó en Touchstone Farms durante más de 20 años; actualmente trabajaba para Bradley Farms y había estado allí durante 12 años.

A Enrique le gustaba escuchar música y bailar, atender a sus animales de granja y pasar el rato en su granja, hacer bromas, siempre ahí para los demás, anteponer las necesidades de los demás a las suyas. Enrique tenía muchos pasatiempos pero su pasión y amor en la vida era su familia, especialmente sus 5 maravillosos nietos; Disfrutaba jugando y pasando tiempo de calidad con ellos. Era un hombre humilde y siempre vivió una vida sencilla.

Su amabilidad, sentido del humor y apoyo inquebrantable dejaron una impresión duradera en todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerlo. El legado de Enrique sigue vivo a través de las muchas vidas que tocó, tanto en el trabajo como en su comunidad, donde era conocido por su generosidad y voluntad de ayudar. Su memoria será apreciada y honrada por su familia, amigos.

Enrique "Kike" Castillo, Sr., 53, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Dimmitt. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Albert Cantu officiating, burial to follow after chapel service. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Family and friend visitation to be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Enrique was born on October 19, 1972, to Jose and Cruz (Portillo) Castillo in Valla de Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico. He has been a resident of Dimmitt for 33 years. He married Francisca Alvarado on November 14, 1994, in Hereford, Texas. Enrique was employed with Touchstone Farms for more than 20 years; he was presently working for Bradley Farms and had been there for 12 years.

Enrique enjoyed listening to music and dancing, tending to his farm animals and hanging out at his farm, cracking jokes, always there for others, putting others needs in front of his own. Enrique had many hobbies but his passion and love in life was his family, especially his 5 wonderful grandchildren; he enjoyed playing and spending quality time with them. He was a humble man and always lived a simple life.

His kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering support left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Enrique's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, both at work and in his community, where he was known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. His memory will be cherished and honored by his family, friends, and all those who experienced his warmth and selflessness throughout the years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Jose and Cruz Castillo; his wife, Francisca Castillo; his children, Ivonne Alvarado and his son-in-law, David Oltivero, Sr., Liliana Vela and her husband Irvin and Enrique Castillo, Jr., all of Dimmitt; 5 grandchildren, David Oltivero, Jr., Derik Oltivero and Dawson Oltivero, Irvin Ismael Vela and Leonel Vela; his siblings, Joel Castillo and wife Leonila and Jose Castillo and wife Leticia all of Plainview, Texas, Jorge Castillo and Gerardo Castillo and wife Sandra all of Dimmitt, Texas, and Leticia Castillo of Chihuahua, Mexico.
