Emeregildo "E.P." Rodriquez 77, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on April 4th, 2025. He was born on March 2, 1948, to Emeregildo "E.J." and Juanita Rodriquez in Robert Lee, Texas.

E.P. had a lifelong passion for music and played trumpet in many Tejano bands throughout his life. He was known for his kindness, quick wit, superior trumpet skills, and the special nicknames he gave to almost everyone he met. To many, he was more than a friend – he was a second father. EP was married to Amelia Rodriquez on September 23, 1967, in Hereford, Texas. They were married for 54 years and had three sons, Jerry, Martin, and David Lee. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether through his kind words, warm presence, or simply being there when it mattered most, he touched hearts in a way few can. Friends and loved ones will always remember him for the way he made them feel loved, welcomed, and at home.

He was reunited in Heaven with his wife, Amelia Rodriquez; son, Martin Rodriquez; parents, Juanita and Emeregildo Rodriquez; grandson, Anthony Rodriquez and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his only brother, Alexander Rodriquez  and his wife Olivia of San Angelo, Texas; children, Jerry and Virginia Rodriquez of Lubbock, Texas; David Lee and Delma Rodriquez of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Amber Rodriquez of Lubbock, Texas; Martin and Bre Rodriquez of Lubbock, Texas; David Rain Rodriquez of Sudan, Texas; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Alena Vessel of Lubbock, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

E.P's memory will live on in the music he played, the laughter he shared, and the many lives he touched with his generous heart.

Visitation will be held at Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Rosary will be held at Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be at San José Catholic Church on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm, burial to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
