Elisa Tejada, 55, of Hereford, Texas passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Durango, Durango, Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM at La Mision Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Friday from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Elisa was born February 24, 1954 in Limas,Durango, Mexico to Alfredo and Socorro (Arroyo) Cruz. Elisa has been a resident of Hereford for twenty years. She married Roberto Tejada in 1976. Elisa was very dedicated and active in her church. She was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church. She sang in the church choir and recited rosaries for many funerals. She enjoyed gardening and loved all types of flowers; she loved to sing and being able to help families when a church member needed her to recite a rosary, but her true love was her husband, her children and grandchildren. Elisa will always be remembered for her sweet spirit.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Roberto Tejada of Hereford, Texas; three sons Julian Tejada of Houston, Texas; Silvano Tejada of Mexico and Rene Tejada and his wife Vanessa of Hereford, Texas; two brothers Jose Luis Cruz and Bernado Cruz and his wife Portfiria all of California; Elisa has several other siblings; thirteen grandchildren.

Elisa is preceded in death by her parents, and a son Refugio Tejada.
