Eileen Higgins, 71 of Hereford, Texas passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Hereford. Family and friend viewing will be Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home from 1:00-6:00 PM. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Eileen was born June 23, 1949 in Amarillo, Texas to Leo and Virginia (Cronmiller) Kouba. Eileen has been in the Hereford community for 35 years. She married Mike Higgins on February 21, 1985 in Canyon, Texas.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Herford. Eileen worked for the Amarillo ISD as a Special Education Teacher for 12 years. She was an accomplished equestrian rider, trainer, and barrel racer. Eileen collected antiques and loved to sell on Ebay. Eileen was always willing to help anyone in need and had such a kind, big heart. She will be dearly missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Mike Higgins of Hereford, Texas and a son, Kyle Higgins of Ft. Worth, Texas. 2 sisters-in-law, LuAnne Black of Paducah, Texas and Janis Gordon and her husband Tom of Mary Anna, Florida and a brother-in-law, Robert Higgins and his wife Beth of Hereford, Texas, 2 cousins, Lenette Grady of Canyon, Texas and Connie Zufelt of Amarillo, Texas.

Eileen will join her parents and 2 sisters in heaven.
