Eddie Alvarez Tijerina, passed away at the age of 52 years old on March 16, 2025, in Hereford, Texas. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Nazarene Family Church on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. A family and friend visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 6:00 P.M. with Deacon Jesse Guerrero at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. The Tijerina family has entrusted Funeral Services to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Eddie was born to his loving parents, George Tijerina, Sr., and Rosie Tijerina, in Hereford, Texas, on September 26, 1972. Eddie was a lifelong resident of Hereford. He graduated from Hereford High School Class of 91; he started his family in Hereford and worked in the retail business for several years. Eddie had a big heart, loved all his family, and took great pride in his loved ones. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed gambling in his spare time. Eddie had a sweet tooth and could finish a gallon of tea with his favorite meal prepared by his loving sister. A good chicken fried steak with a side of macaroni was his favorite.

Those left to carry on his legacy are his parents, George Tijerina, Sr. and Rosie Tijerina of Hereford, Texas; his children, Christopher Moreno and wife Christine of Austin, Texas, Orion Tijerina of New York, Eddie Tijerina, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Deaven Tijerina of Amarillo, Texas, Hailey Tijerina of Hereford, Texas; his granddaughter, Amelia Mary Tijerina; his ex-wife of 23 years, Clarissa Moreno Tijerina of Amarillo, Texas; his brother George Tijerina, Jr., and his wife Becky Tijerina of Hereford, Texas, His sisters Nancy Ortiz and husband Ramiro Ortiz, Amy Tijerina, Vanessa Tijerina and husband Elliott Perez all of Hereford, Texas. He had numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

His paternal grandparents, Julian and Marry Tijerina, and his maternal grandparents, Luz Alvarez and Rosa Caballero, precede him in passing.
