Earl Drager, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Earl was born on November 2, 1946, in Canyon, Texas, to Richard Edward and Ella (Kelinske) Drager. Earl graduated from Hereford High School in 1965 and proudly served in the United States Navy as a Seabee from August 1965 to October 1967. Earl married Glenda (Sims) Drager on February 15, 1969, in Hereford.

Earl was an extremely hard worker and farmed southeast of Hereford. He also worked for Gilvin Terrill Construction before working and retiring from Xcel Energy, where he was a heavy equipment operator. After retirement, he was in the scrap removal business. In his younger years, he enjoyed duck and goose hunting and riding dirt bikes with his kids. Earl and Glenda also enjoyed traveling on their tour bike. Earl loved spending time with Glenda, telling bad dad jokes, and fishing. He had a northward-pointed moral compass, was rough around the edges, but tender-hearted. He could fix just about everything, had a great sense of direction, was honest, and was a godly man who put God first and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Edward and Ella Drager and brother-in-law Gary Howell.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years Glenda Drager of Hereford, Texas; son Richard Drager and his wife Kimberly of Canyon, Texas; daughters Tawanna Walker and Steve Day of Amarillo, Texas and Rebecca Drager of Canyon, Texas; five grandchildren, Garrett Drager, Brett Walker, Brayden Drager, Kensleigh Walker, and Slade Drager; sister Betty Derry and her husband Dennis of Midwest City, Oklahoma; in-laws Lin and Doug Roberson, Dennis and Phyllis Sims, Sina Howell, Jim and Mary Jean Sims and Reta and Jr. Reinart; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Barn Church in Hereford, Texas, with Pastor Guy Walker officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.
