Doyle King, 77, of Hereford passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be Monday at the Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford at 11:00 AM with Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating, burial to follow in the West Park Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Family and friend visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Doyle was born April 20, 1940 in Turkey, Texas to Otis Lee and Ella Mae (Fowler) King. Doyle married Patsy Owen on June 6, 1956. He owned and operated a trucking and grinding business and retired from there about 11 years ago. He was a longtime member of Avenue Baptist Church. Doyle enjoyed traveling to Albuquerque, NM and Ruidoso, NM and pretty much all over, he loved to fish and to dance.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Patsy King of Hereford; 2 sons, Carry King, Jr. and his wife Kyle, and Randy King and his wife Lisa all of Amarillo; 3 daughters, Deanna Frost and her husband Jeff and Kim Monroe all of Amarillo and Becky Kuykendall of Hereford; 3 brothers, Jerry King and Orvel King both of Amarillo and Donnie King and his wife Inez of Canyon and 1 sister, Patsy Biles and her husband Eddie of Bowie, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Tina Sue King, 1 brother, Dorven King, 1 sister, Leoda Shaw, a granddaughter, Brandi King and a grandson, Jacob Bryan.
