Donnie Loyd Henderson, 67, of Hereford, Texas, passed away from a brief illness of cancer, on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in Hereford, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Trent Tanaro officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Donnie was born on January 17, 1956, in Muleshoe, Texas, to Lealon Duane and Bonnie Oleta (Clayton) Henderson. Donnie graduated from Springlake Earth High School in 1974. He has been a resident of Hereford, Texas, since 1987, where he met and married the love of his life Ashlie Darby on May 29, 1987. Donnie owned and operated Double H Construction, Inc. for 30 years. Donnie built many feed yards, dairies, and welded in the Panhandle. He was a past member of the Tri-State High School Rodeo Association and the Earth Roping Club. Donnie enjoyed roping, training horses, his work, fishing, and camping. Donnie was a simple, honest, hard-working, dependable man, who loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all his heart.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Ashlie Henderson of Hereford, Texas, his children Justin Henderson and his wife Misty of Canyon, Texas, Scarlet Shay Henderson of Noble, OK., and Levi Darby Henderson of New Orleans, LA. 5 grandchildren Kelsie Hill and her husband Hayden of Happy, Texas, Haven and Tryan Henderson of Canyon, Texas, and Cutter and Heston Seay of Clarendon, Texas; 1 great grandson Yates Hill of Happy, Texas; his sister Sandra Arnold of Amarillo, Texas, and his brother Jimmy Henderson and his wife Deborah of Kerrville, Texas; his 3 nephews Shane Meason of Amarillo, Texas, Cloudy McIntire of Hereford, Texas, and Lealon Henderson of Kerrville, Texas, and his 1 niece Neva Henderson of Kerrville, Texas.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents.
