Domingo "Jay" Vasquez, Jr., 44, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Alvarado of Good News Church officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Domingo Jr. was born on October 9, 1977, in Muleshoe, Texas to Domingo Sr. and Juanita (Perez) Vasquez.  He was a long-time resident of Hereford and a 1996 Hereford High School graduate. Domingo worked for Walmart, Cargill, and these last several years at West Texas Electric. Domingo was a go-getter. He enjoyed cooking out and was good at it along with baking, one of his specialty meals was macaroni and beef. Domingo also was a great gardener and had a green thumb in growing vegetables, watermelons, and cantaloupe. He was a Cowboy's Fan, jokester (always telling jokes), and enjoyed sending funny Tik Tok's to his family. Most of all Domingo was always smiling and had the biggest heart, he would always make a way to help someone in need.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mom and dad, Domingo Sr. and Juanita Vasquez; sister Linda Vasquez; brothers, David Vasquez and his wife Cynthia and Vince Vasquez all of Hereford, Texas; nieces, K'linda Mason, Aleczandrea Vasquez, Sarah Vasquez, Tiffany Vasquez, Destynee Vasquez, and Vannessa Vasquez; nephews, Izak Vasquez, Michael Vasquez and his wife Krystal, Timothy Vasquez, and Keynen Vasquez; great nieces, Annabelle Chairez, Zae'lynn Vasquez, and Everleigh Flores; great nephews, Maverick Morales, Zayvian Morales, Javen Gonzales, Brayden Vasquez, AJ Chairez, and Isaiah Barrera.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Domingo and Cruz Vasquez; maternal grandparents, Juan and Herlinda Cortez; and nephew Octavio Chairez.
