Domingo Rosa Garza, 77, of Hereford, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 4:00-8:00PM with rosary at 6:00PM at the funeral home. A mask is required to attend all services. Your safety and health matter to us.

Domingo was born August 4, 1943 in Garceño, Texas to Blas and Simona Garza. Domingo has been a resident of Hereford since 1969. He married the love of his life Maria Aguillon on August 20, 1969 in Rio Grande City, Texas. Domingo was a United States Veteran serving in the Army from May 17, 1966-May 16, 1972. He worked all his adult life driving a truck for feed yards; working for Mooreman Feedyard, Circle 3, 7x Feedyard and later retiring from Beef Tech. Domingo was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Domingo's priority in life was taking great pride in caring for his wife, more than himself. He loved his family dearly and loved his time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his wife to the casinos, cleaning house, and cooking for her, watching football and old western movies, especially Gunsmoke and Chuck Norris, Texas Rangers. Domingo was a Dallas Cowboy fan and was always up to telling a good joke and throwing his "gritos." His children will miss him dearly, but especially those phone calls that always came at the most inconvenient times and would last for hours.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife. Maria Garza of Hereford, TX., his son, Johnny Garza and his wife Griselda of Hereford, TX., his daughters, Michelle Garza of Hereford, TX., Pamela Garza Vigil and her husband Jason Vigil and Destiny Garza all of Amarillo, TX., three brothers, Lorenzo Garza and his wife Minerva, Jose Maria Garza and his wife Irma, and Blas Garza, Jr., and his wife Marciela all of Garceño, TX., and a sister, Linda Gonzalez and her husband Pedro of Rio Grande City, TX., and a sister-in-law, Elida Garza of Rio Grande, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Domingo will join his parents, two sisters, Flora Rodriguez and her husband Rafael, and Adela Escobar and her husband Javier, and a brother, Liborio Garza in heaven.
