Dolores Ramirez Garcia, 55, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Hereford, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 17, 1970, in Hereford, Texas, Dolores was the daughter of John Ramirez and Lilia Mendoza. She worked in health care for more than 25 years as a CNA and Med aide, and she also spent over 10 years as a cook at Bennigans in Monahans, Texas. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hereford.

Dolores was an herbalist and plant enthusiast who took great joy in gardening. She cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, actively supported their interests, and loved watching them grow. She was also a devoted Batman fan. Dolores treasured her family and often reminded them not to let time pass them by and to cherish every moment with their loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father John Edmund Ramirez; grandparents Edmundo and Adela Ramirez and Great Grandparents Eduardo and Isabel Ramirez; five great uncles, Eduardo, Benjamin, Alonso, Epifano, and Antonio; three great aunts Isabel, Esperanza, and Celestina; two uncles, Joe and Ray Ramirez; two sisters, Stephanie Ramirez and (Ismael) and Bertha Trevino (Butch); two brothers Jose and Manuel Figueroa; and two cousins Michael Damon Ramirez and Jessie Maldonado.

Those left to cherish her memories are mother Lilia Mendoza; daughter Misty Villegas (Martin); daughter Ashley Mendoza; best friend VJ Willis; her Monahans family; granddaughters, Victoria Cruz (Daryn), Jaquelyn Sturgeon, Genevieve Sturgeon; great grandchildren, Evangeline Rae Cruz, Atom Steele Cruz, and Theodoro Jaime Alexander Cruz; sisters, Anna Lisa Mendoza, Rosa Figueroa (Lupe), Hortencia Estrada (Tito), Mary Shows, and Yolanda Gutierrez (Cephe); brothers, Ricardo Mendoza, Jorge Gutierrez (Letty), Arturo Gutierrez (Natalie), Miguel Gutierrez, Joel Enrique, and Alfred Figueroa (Alicia); and aunt Angie Ramirez.

Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.
