Diane Gutierrez, 65, of Hereford, Texas, passed away in Amarillo on Monday, December 26, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Ramon Molina officiating. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 12:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a rosary beginning at 6:30 P.M.

Diane was born on August 24, 1957, in Victoria, Texas, to Gregorio and Francisca (Torres) Guerra. She married Jose R. Gutierrez, and they shared forty-nine beautiful years. Diane is a longtime resident of Hereford; she worked as a CNA for Kings Manor Nursing Home and then as a proud homemaker. Diane loved to shop, especially from QVC, go to the Casino, play BINGO, and watch movies. She also enjoyed cooking and was a great cook. Her specialties were enchiladas, rice, beans, and chili Rojo. She was stern, kept everyone in line, and was very giving. Diane loved her children and grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jose R. Gutierrez of Hereford, Texas; children, Amy Acosta and her husband Pedro, Victor Gutierrez and his wife Rachael, Beatrice Gutierrez, and Jose Christopher Gutierrez and his wife Amanda, all of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Chauntel Ottenwalder and her husband Jonathan, Nayeli Acosta, Nataly Acosta, Pedro Aron Acosta, Victor Fabian Gutierrez, Jr., Adelaida Gutierrez, Gabriela Gutierrez, Uriel Gutierrez, Andres Magaña, Edgar Quintana, Christopher Lucas Gutierrez, Christian Samuel Gutierrez, and Ryder James Gutierrez; sisters, Sylvia Gutierrez and her husband Reynaldo and Nelda Zambrano and her husband Efren both of Hereford, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Ezra Augustine Gutierrez.
