Diana Angelina Torres Salinas, 67, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Diana was born on November 15, 1955, in Hereford, Texas, to Francisco and Lolina (Garcia) Torres. She attended and graduated from Hereford ISD and later went on to attend and graduate from West Texas A&M University with her bachelor's degree. She married the love of her life, Richard Salinas on November 21, 1981. Diana was an elementary school teacher for several Hereford ISD campuses for 32 years. She loved playing bingo, dancing, watching westerns, such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie, but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren; she gave her heart and wisdom to them graciously. She enjoyed going to all their activities. Diana was a very selfless, giving, big hearted woman, who loved with all her heart and made everyone feel welcomed. Her presence will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Richard Salinas, her children, Richard Salinas, Jr., Jacklyn Miller and her husband Kenneth, Jeremy Salinas and his wife Kailee Granadoz and Deidra Salinas all of Hereford, Texas, her siblings, Francisco Torres, Jr. and his wife Yolanda of Amarillo, Texas, Eduardo Torres and his wife Zenayda of Lubbock, Texas, Dickie Torres of El Paso, Texas, Olga Torres of Lubbock, Texas, and Mireya Torres of Hereford, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Alexander Salinas, Mia Salinas, Faith Salinas, Jahaziel Salinas, Aubriana Salinas, Sophia Salinas, Avery Miller, Kynzlee Miller, Zayden Granadoz, Derek Miller and Dalton Miller.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Enrique Torres, Elvidia Ward, Harvey Torres and Dianita Torres, and a daughter-in-law, Fidelia Salinas.
