Delfina "Fina" Pesina, 103, of Hereford, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Hereford, surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M.

Delfina was born on November 2, 1921, in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico, to Seferino and Ignacia (Barquen) De Los Santos. She has been a resident of Hereford since 1945. Delfina married Daniel Pesina on April 28, 1946, in Hereford, Texas at San Jose Catholic Church. She was a proud homemaker who loved caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and was a fantastic cook, making dozens upon dozens of her famous tamales to sell and for family. Every year Delfina would host a family feast for Ash Wednesday and each Friday until Easter. She was always ready with a meal for her family in case they came over, serving their favorites. Delfina enjoyed sewing and made many of her clothes when she was young and costumes for her grandchildren. She loved listening to her Christian music and dancing. Delfina took it upon herself to become a naturalized citizen on April 10, 1999.

Delfina was devoted to her faith and her church; she attended many church prayer meetings and hosted them at her home. She had lots of friends at the nursing home whom she prayed with too. Delfina was always ready to give advice, she was funny and loved her children and grandchildren the same and made them each feel special.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Josie Guerrero and her husband Martin, Sr. of Austin, Texas, Gloria Alvarado and her husband LT of San Antonio, Texas, Yolanda Pesina of Hereford, Texas, Ray Pesina of Hereford, Texas, Dan Pesina, Jr. and his wife Nora of Hereford, Texas, and Jessie Pesina of Cedar Creek, Texas; daughter-in-law Amelia Pesina of Hereford, Texas; honorary son Kevin Prather of Cedar Creek, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Esperanza Martinez of Hereford, Texas, Olga De Los Santos of Hereford, Texas, and Seferino De Los Santos, Jr. and his wife Blanca of Roswell, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Seferino and Ignacia De Los Santos, husband Daniel Pesina, Sr., son Eddie Pesina, Sr., daughter-in-law Hope Pesina, grandson Jesus Francisco Pesina, great-grandson Noah Hay, and siblings Refugio De Los Santos, Juan De Los Santos, Lupe Flores, Maria "Lela" De Los Santos, Catalina Pesina, and Eloisa De Los Santos.
