Delfina Munoz, 85, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Hereford Nursing and Rehab. Chapel Service will be held at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 with Pastor David Alvarado officiating. Burial to follow at Rest Lawn Cemetery of Hereford, Texas. Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to the COVID-19 only (10) people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time and only (10) people can be up under then tent at graveside, all others attending must stand back. Your well being and safety matter to us.
Delfina was born on November 05, 1934 in Santa Rosa, Texas to Santos Sanchez and Carolina Cisneros. Delfina married Gregorio Munoz on March 9, 1954. They moved to Hereford, Texas in 1960. Delfina worked many years and retired from Ramirez Tortilla Factory in Hereford, she was also a homemaker. She loved to garden and cook for all of her family, especially tamalaes. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, visiting with her friends on the phone, watching novelas, and going to church. She was a member of Good News Church.
Those left to cherish Delfina's memory are her children Beatrice Galvan and her husband Samuel of Hereford, Texas, Ramiro Munoz of Fresno, California, Rudy Munoz and his wife Donna of Amarillo, Texas, Silvia Mendoza of Hereford, Texas and Elisa Capps and husband T.J. of Hereford, Texas; 4 sisters Eloisa Hernandez, Esmeralda Palacios, Graciela Sanchez, and Dora Sanchez all from Mexico; 2 brothers Guadalupe Sanchez and Santos Sanchez both from Mexico; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Delfina is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gregorio Munoz; daughter Elvira Munoz; and brothers Jorge, Leonso, Crisostomo and Serafin Sanchez.
