Debbie Keyes, 67, of Hereford passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 in Dallas. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 PM at Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Viewing will begin on Thursday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Debbie was born April 15, 1951 in Hereford, Texas to Raymond LeeRoy and Erma Oleta (Cross) Rickman. Debbie has been a lifelong member of Hereford, being born and raised in Hereford. She attended and graduated from Hereford High School in 1969. She married the love of her life, Thad Keyes on August 8, 1969 in Hereford. Debbie taught K-4 and K-5 at First Baptist Church Kindergarten in Hereford for 17 years. She then became the bookkeeper for she and her husband's business, Keyes Electric, for 32 years. Debbie was a member of Avenue Baptist Church of Hereford. She enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing and cooking. She enjoyed spending time at their lake house, she loved her fur babies (schnauzers), she loved her granddaughters and most of all she loved her soul mate and best friend, Thad, and enjoyed doing whatever he was doing, just to be with him.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Thad Keyes of Hereford, two sons Randall Keyes and his wife Carol of Bushland and Nate Keyes and his wife Lori of Hereford; her parents LeeRoy and Erma Rickman of Hereford and a sister Linda Ott and her husband Ronald of Hereford; two granddaughters Maddy and Karley Keyes.

Debbie is preceded in death by her brother Johnny Rickman.
