Dean Fox, 71, of Hereford, Texas passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 in Hereford. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Fellowship of Believers Church of Hereford, Texas with Pastor Danny Mize and Landrum Medlock officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Dean was born September 20, 1948 in Amherst, Texas to Harold Louise and Carlette (Seymour) Fox. Dean has recently lived in Hereford for the last 2 years. In the late 70's and earlier 80's Dean lived here in Hereford and was a Highway Patrol. In 1989 Dean moved to Amarillo and was there till 2017. Dean was in the landscaping business while living in Amarillo. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church of Amarillo and while in Hereford he attended the Fellowship of Believers Church of Hereford. Dean enjoyed cooking for his family and telling "His stories" to his family; he was an avid runner and he enjoyed singing. Dean was a very social man; he was one that never met a stranger. Dean's greatest love was his family, grandchildren and he loved to go and watch all their sports and other activities.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children Corey Fox of Ft. Worth, Texas; Stephanie Dixon and her husband Robert of Hereford, Texas and Jason Fox of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four brothers Bob Fox and his wife LeAnn, David Fox and his wife Ynez and Billy Fox and his wife Nan all of Roswell, New Mexico and Jimmy Fox and his wife Laura of Amarillo, Texas; one sister Laura LeCompte and her husband Nick of Tucumcari, New Mexico; two stepchildren Blake Reeder and Brandi Ward and her husband Chad all of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren Brook Dixon, Chance Fox, Dylan Fox, Seth Dixon, Bailee Fox and Holden Fox and four step grandchildren Carson Ward, Cydney Ward, Maddox Reeder and Rider Reeder.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Timothy Fox.
