David Hernandez, 68, longtime resident of Hereford, Texas passed away on November 24, 2020 in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 3 pm, at San Jose Catholic Church with Ramon Molina as celebrant, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 1:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home with Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.  Due to the COVID- 19 virus, everyone attending viewing and Mass must wear a mask provided by you. Your health and safety matter to us.

David was born on January 27, 1952 to Policarpio and Olivia (Castro) Hernandez in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has been a resident of Hereford since 1964 where he owned and operated a truck driving business. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. David enjoyed playing the lottery and going to Hereford Federal Credit Union to visit with the ladies.  He loved hanging out with his nephews and listening to music, the "Beatles" were his favorite band.

Those left to cherish David's memories are his siblings: Amador Hernandez and his wife Esther, Emma Sanchez and her husband Jose, Delfina Barrientez, Juan Hernandez and his wife Maria Elena, Ortencia Lopez, Sylvia Monzon and her husband Sergio, Policarpio Hernandez, Jr. and his wife Margarita, Jose Angel Hernandez, Julian Hernandez, Roberto Hernandez, Carmen Hernandez and his wife Kathy and Olivia Rincon and her husband Jerry all from Hereford, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Angel Hernandez, and Francisco Hernandez.
