Danny Cano, 54, formerly of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, with Pastor Guy Walker officiating at 2:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A viewing and a slide show presentation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Danny was born on November 26, 1969, in Hereford, Texas, to Eloy and Eudelia (Vargas) Cano. Danny grew up and was raised in Hereford, Texas. While in Hereford, he was an employee of Tireworks for 25 years. He has been a resident of Amarillo the last 3-4 years, working for Christian Brothers Automotive for the last 3 years.

Danny enjoyed cooking out, motorcycles, listening to all types of music, was a huge Dallas Cowboy Fan, had a passion for football and watching his grandson's playing football, but above all these hobbies his greatest love in life were his son's, his grandchildren, his sisters, his nieces and nephews and his fiancé, Norma, who he has known since Jr. High School, and they recently rekindled their relationship in September. Danny's presence, laughter and many other family favorites will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Jordan Cano and his wife Meranda of Amarillo, Allen Cano and Alex Cano both of Hereford, Texas; his fiancé, Norma Perez of Amarillo; his mother of his children and their stepdad, Angelica T. Albidres and Michael I. Albidres of Hereford; his sisters, Delma Davila and her husband Juan of Amarillo, Mindy Cano, MaryAnn Martinez, Gloria Cano, Gracie Cano and her husband Rodolfo Dominguez, Jessica Cano and Vanessa Nava and her husband Juan all of Hereford; 8 grandchildren, Enin Cano, Ezra Cano, Semera, Zayden, Kyng, Allianna, Lorenzo and Elena; and his future in-laws, Richard and Nora Perez of Hereford and several nieces and nephews.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Eloy and Eudelia Cano; his brother-in-law, Victor Martinez, Jr. and his nephew, Rick Barboza III.
