Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with President Dr. Trevor Rohm and Clyde Murray as officiants. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Damian was born September 11, 2000, in Liberal, Kansas to Francisco Javier Garcia and Yesica Bustillo Mendoza. Damian was the first born grandbaby to the family and was the oldest sibling to his three brothers and two sisters, that loved him very much. He attended elementary school in Garden City, Kansas and high school in Clovis, New Mexico. He was such a smarty and funny boy who always made people laugh and of course made lots of friends, who will miss him dearly.

Damian also enjoyed playing video games, target shooting, and cruising in his 2001 Ford Mustang, that he loved fixing and jamming out in. He also loved his dog, Zeus Garcia and eating food with lots of tabasco sauce. His favorite food was of course the food that was cooked by his grandmother Catalina, who was like a second mother to him, and he loved her very much. Damian was always smiling, acting goofy, constantly giving advice, and always said, "I know", because he was always right. He will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Henoc and Yesica Mendoza of Hereford, Texas; fiancé Delailah De La Rosa of Hereford, Texas; brothers, Andrew Garcia, Henoc Mendoza Jr., and Lucius Mendoza all of Hereford, Texas; sisters, Lena Mendoza of Hereford, Texas and Vanessa Piña of Arkansas City, Kansas; grandparents, Catalina Mendoza and husband Jose of Clovis, New Mexico; Armando Echeverria of Mexico, and Rebecca Mendoza of Garden City, Kansas; aunts and uncles, Julia Macias of Garden City, Kansas, Patricia Gonzalez and husband Domanic of Abilene, Texas, Marcos Echeverria and wife Karyna of Clovis, New Mexico; Jose Mendoz Jr. and husband Andre of Wichita Kansas, Leah Rangel and husband Michael of Wichita, Kansas, Eli Mendoza of Hutchison, Kansas, Dora Martinez and husband Christopher of Garden City, Kansas, and David Mendoza and wife Danielle of Wichita, Kansas.
