Cynthia Marie Quiroz, 63, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in Hereford. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Family and friend viewing will be Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Monday from 1:00-5:00 PM. A mask is required and provided by you to attend the viewing. Cynthia was born May 24, 1957 in Weslaco, Texas to Ignacio and Celia (Valdez) Pena. Cynthia has been a lifelong resident of Hereford. She was very involved in the jail ministry and had been ministering to the inmates for 15 years, Cynthia was known for her goodie bags at Christmas time and would even bring some for the staff. She would make over 125 dozen cookies to put in the goodie bags. She married Jessie Quiroz in 2008. Cynthia started her waitressing career at J.J.'s Diner and worked there for 7 years. She was a joy to everybody and a mother to all, she never turned anyone away. She was known to many as, "Grandmother Strawberry." Cynthia collected all different kinds of strawberry knick-knacks. Cynthia loved flowers in the summertime and felt like she never had enough flowers planted. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. Cynthia's joy and love were her family and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jessie Quiroz of Hereford, her children, Yvette Trevino and her husband Daniel, LeeAnn Quiroz, Noemi Campos and her husband Eric all of Hereford, Jessie Quiroz, Jr. and his wife Erica of Amarillo, Patrick Gonzales of Augusta, Georgia, David Quiroz of Amarillo, Sarah Cerna and her husband Tony of Augusta, Georgia, JoAnn Castillo and her husband Mark of Amarillo and Danielle Cortez and her husband Mike of Hereford, a brother, Ignacio Pena, Jr. and his wife Ana of San Angelo, Texas, a sister, Priscilla Pena of Mercedes, Texas and 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Cynthia is joining her parents in heaven.
