Coy Mae Williams Moore, 87, of Hereford, Texas, passed on Thursday, February 9, 2023, in Hereford. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Victory Family Worship Center in Hereford, with Pastor Ronnie Woodward and Pastor Michael Sullivan officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements and Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Viewing will be on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Coy was born on July 6, 1935, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Bill and Martha (Maness) Williams. She married the love of her life, Elgin Moore, on August 20, 1951, in Henrietta, Texas; they celebrated 60 years together before his passing in 2012. Coy worked for Hereford ISD, a nursery, as the bookkeeper for their family business and owned Kingdom Bookstore in Sugarland mall. However, she was most proud to be a homemaker. Coy was a member of the First Assembly of God, attended Trinity Fellowship Church of Hereford, and then attended Family Worship Center in Amarillo these last ten years with her family. Coy was devoted to her faith. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially the Gaithers and was the world's greatest cook. In addition, she was a seamstress, the family referee in "contact" dominoes, and loved to read. Coy loved and spoiled her grandchildren and always ensured they were well cared for.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son Randy Moore and his wife Carol of Hereford, Texas; seven grandchildren, Belinda Dominguez and her husband Mike of Amarillo, Texas, Clay Moore of Tulia, Texas, Megan Moore of Hereford, Texas, Blake Moore of Hereford, Texas, April Howell and her husband Thomas of Dimmitt, Texas, Robyn Cordova and her husband Oscar of Dimmitt, Texas and Cheyenne Heggestad of Hereford, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Denise Weatherford of Amarillo, Texas; and sister-in-laws, Judy Moore of San Antonio, Texas, Dorothy Moore of Ryan, Oklahoma, Nancy Moore of Dean, Texas, Carol Moore of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Kathleen Moore of Madera, California.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Elgin Moore, daughter Betty Ann Moore, sons Ricky Moore and Jerry Heggestad, brothers Ted Ryan and Charlie Williams, and sisters Louise Morgan, Birtie Vanvebber, and Addie Williams.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hereford Nursing and Rehab and BSA Hospice for their excellent care.
