Concha L. Mendoza 85, of Hereford, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Hereford. Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant David Contreras officiating.  Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:30 AM -1:30 PM at the funeral home.

Concha was born on April 8, 1940, in Weslaco, Texas to Pablo and Trinidad (Martinez) Lucio. Concha has been a resident of Hereford since 1968. She married the love of her life Manuel Mendoza, Sr. on July 12, 1958, in Hereford. Concha was a member of Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford.

In loving memory of Concha- a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished presence in our home. She filled our lives with songs and joy-dancing around the room, singing her favorite melodies, and cooking delicious meals infused with warmth and tradition. Her garden was always brightened with fresh flowers, especially roses, which she adored.

In quiet moments, Concha delighted in her Seek -and- Find puzzle books during her leisure time. She loved to wear her lipstick and earrings with grace, a reminder that beauty is found in simple style. She lovingly taught us her favorite recipes, sharing not just meals, but time, tradition, and love around the kitchen table.

Concha was always ready to lend a hand in whatever way she could. Her deepest passion was her family, and she gave her love freely, every day. Her gentle advice, caring presence, and generous heart will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two daughters; Maria Leyva and her husband Jesus of Friona, Esther Zuniga and her husband Rafael of San Marcos; five sons; Fred Mendoza and his wife Susie, Ricky Mendoza, Robert Mendoza and his wife Michelle all of Amarillo, Manuel Mendoza, Jr. and husband Manny of San Antonio and Joe Mendoza and his wife Connie of Hereford. Eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Concha is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Mendoza, Sr., a daughter Delma, a son-in-law Ismael Garcia, Sr., her parents Pablo and Trinidad Lucio, four brothers, Pablo Jr., Lionel, Roy & Ruben Lucio, and two sisters, Beatrice Mendez and Maria Dominguez.
