Christopher "Kevin" Jared Martinez Urias, 25 years old, passed away in Amarillo, Texas on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Celebration of Life Service for Christopher will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Victory Family Church with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with the rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M.

Christopher was born on April 24, 2000, in Hereford, Texas to Elizabeth Martinez and Marcus Urias. He attended school in Hereford and graduated from Hereford High School in 2020. Christopher's favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed cookouts with family and friends, watching Scarface, and listening to Tupac in his BATMOBILE which was given to him by Samual Aguilar. The smile on his face would always show how much he loved his mom's cooking, Grandma Mary's chile rojo, and Grandma Eva's fried chicken, that smile of contentment was always a sight. When Chris was at his mom's, Kaitlynn was his mischievous sidekick, together scaring mom, playing video games, and going out to eat or get a coke while cruising Hereford. All Chris' nephews and nieces were drawn to his laugh and smile.  Chris's contagious smile and personality will NEVER be forgotten; he always tried to make anyone and everyone HAPPY! He was his mom's "TEDDY BEAR" giving hugs with a strength that was unbearable and always being the best one after he would let go. If you ever felt that hug, that means you were special enough to have received it! Chris loved BIG and he will FOREVER be missed in our hearts!

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving mother Elizabeth Martinez (Samuel Aguilar) of Hereford, Texas; loving father Marcus Urias (Irene), siblings, Pedro Mendiola (Cassie), Kaitlynn Martinez, Briana Gaytan (Andrew); nephews and nieces, Gabriel, Eva and Miguel Mendiola, and Jayvian, Zayden, Jazlyn, and  Zaryan Gaytan; grandmothers, Mary Martinez and Eva Urias both of Hereford, Texas; best friends, AJ and his dog Blaze; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Melecio Urias.
