C atherine Faye "Katie" Lupton, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on December 29th in Hereford, Texas.  Katie was born on July 4, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Ervin and Cora (Haines) Meyer.  Katie married Richard O'Mahoney Lupton on February 12, 1945. She has been a resident of Hereford since 1972.  Katie was a homemaker and took great pride in taking care of her family and home. She also was a caregiver for many of her relatives, keeping the faith as she experienced her husband, four of her children, and countless other loved ones go to their eternal reward. Katie was a member of the Hereford Senior Citizens, Senior Citizen Quilters, many bridge clubs, the Red Hatters, and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She enjoyed socializing, quilting, gardening, playing cards, playing games with her grandchildren, or a game with anyone who would play. She loved to travel and read, and she never missed her daily rosary.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Molly Maddux of Euless, Texas, Eileen Alley and her husband Larry of Hereford, Texas, Shelly Diller and her husband Ralph of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Monique Haskins and her husband Greg, Rick Alley and his wife Tiffany, Gina Luna and her husband Carl, Aimee Taylor and her husband Greg, Joshua Clark, and his wife Melanie, Jason Jackson, Amanda Lupton and her husband John Oliveira, Victoria Lupton, Ryan Lupton, Camron Lupton, Shelby Lupton, Nathan Diller and his wife Robin, Tamara Thornton and her husband Gabe, Christopher Diller and his wife Lisa; 27 great grandchildren; brothers, Ervin Meyer and his wife Peggy of Georgia, Don Meyer and his wife Marie of Missouri, and Jim Meyer and his wife Frankie of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Cora Meyer; husband Richard Lupton; daughters, Pam Clark and Francie Morrissey; sons, Ricky Lupton and Tony Lupton; and a sister Mary Demel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Nick Gerber as celebrant. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, January 6, 2022, 1:30-8:00 PM with Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
