Billy Trent Day, 31, of Amarillo, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2024, in Amarillo. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford with Pastor Billy Joe Wall and Pastor Ken Varner of Westway Baptist Church of Hereford officiating. Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Billy Trent was born on September 19, 1992, in Amarillo, Texas to Billy Day and Rebecca (Scott) Day. He was raised in Hereford, Texas and attended school there. At a young age, Billy was baptized at Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford. Billy Trent was skilled in many areas, and worked as a handyman painting, home repairs, landscaping, tree-trimming, auto repair and even pool care. He was a hard worker pushing to complete the job even in the dark.

Billy Trent loved life like he did fast cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He had a gleam in his eye when he smiled, and his laugh was very infectious. His favorite dogs were drawn to him, they loved to get belly rubs. Billy Trent loved playing with his nephews and loved being around his family. He was giving and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they asked or needed it. Billy Trent never left without telling his loved ones that he would see them later, but wouldn't say goodbye, just let them know that he loved them. He will be truly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories are, dad Billy Day and his wife Cathleen of Amarillo; mom Rebecca Day of Hereford; children Lucius Aden Day and Sydney Aaron Day and two nephews who were like sons Daimon and Ethen Cozbey; siblings, Ruben Frank Day of Hereford, Sunny Day of Hereford, and Matthew Collier of Kansas; paternal grandmother Bonnie Rhodes and her husband Troy of Hereford, maternal grandmother Margret Scott of Hereford; uncles, Frank Day and his wife Wendi of Amarillo, Jesse Scott and his wife Elena of Hereford; Matt Hix and his wife Jennifer of Hereford; Patrick Rhodes of Hereford; Troy Jr Rhodes and his wife Bree of Hereford; aunts, Carol Gilliam and her husband Travis of Hereford, and Bonnie Campbell and Kent of Hereford; Shalma Sims of Hereford, Mary Jones of Amarillo; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandfather Frank Day, maternal grandfather Frank Scott.
