Barbara Jane Martin, 86, of Hereford passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Hereford. Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel of Hereford, Texas, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Family and friend visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Barbara was born December 28, 1932 in Mills, N.M. to John and Iris (Lolmaugh) Bauler. She graduated in 1948 from Raton New Mexico High School. After high school she worked at Springer, N.M. Theater. She waitressed at various locations including Stockman's Café in Springer, N.M. Big Daddy's, Dickey's, The Thompson House, Savages and the Sirloin Stockade all in Hereford. She also did in home care. Barbara loved her waitressing job, she enjoyed crocheting doylies and lap quilts for nursing home and hospital patients. She loved cooking and baking, especially her famous pecan pie and taking care of others before herself, but above all these her greatest joy was her family, her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children Jayne Gaede and her husband Jack of Plainfield, Iowa; Phil Martin and his wife DeAnn of Hereford; her grandchildren Heather Asche, Justin Gaede, Zack Martin and Jake Martin; two sisters Nancy Fluhman and Irene Bauler both of Hereford; three brothers Pat Bauler of Ohio, Philip Bauler of Colorado and Jerry Bauler of Lubbock; a niece Barbara Finley and her husband Sam of Hereford and great nieces Brianna Ferguson and Britni Harmon and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by a granddaughter Taylor Paige Martin, five brothers and four sisters.
