Balentin C. Diaz, 76, of Hereford, Texas, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home in Hereford, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints with Willie Galvan, 1st Counselor, officiant. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Balentin was born on May 21, 1941 in Lamesa, Texas to Domingo Diaz, Sr. and Catarina Castilleja Diaz. He married Margaret Flores on January 12, 1969 in Dimmitt, Texas. Balentin had been employed at Mc6 Feedlot for Dan McWhorter for over 26 years. He was a member of Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints. Balentin enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Sr. and Catarina Diaz, and a grandson, Christopher Diego Bernal.

2 Sons: Manuel Diaz and wife, Marie Croix and Valentino Diaz and wife, Sabrina Lopez both of Amarillo, TX

2 Daughters: Adela Hinojosa and Martina Bernal both of Hereford, TX

2 Brothers: Domingo Diaz, Jr. and Mike Diaz both of Hereford, TX

5 Sisters: Janie Murillo, Luisa Leal, Christina Diaz, Josie Moreno and Susana Casarez and husband, David, all of Hereford, TX
